Carter Elementary parents demand new school, not renovation

Carter Elementary School has to be one of the oldest buildings in the Knox County system if not the oldest. The county is planning to do $5 million dollars worth of renovations. Parents are reporting that there are a multitude of structural problems at the school.

The country was able to find funds to build a new school in a quickly growing part of the county. Why not for Carter Elementary? Don't you wonder if East Knox county got the same attention if it might grow faster too?

All Knox County students deserve to have the best that the county can provide. The students and parents of the Strawberry Plains and Carter communities deserve to have a new building for Carter Elementary School and they deserve to have it now.
